From 1 July 2016, all new industry starters are required to satisfactorily complete the Industry Safety Induction course prior to working on the development or operation of any Onshore or Offshore facility in Queensland and WA/NT’s Natural Gas exploration and production industries.
A New Starter is anyone who has not worked in the Australian Oil and Gas E&P Industry for at least 12 months in the last 2 years.
AWCC has tailored its short course selection for the Oil & Gas, Mining, and Construction industries. These short courses are the typical skills required for most workers in those industries.
Common Industry Currency (CIC)
CIC courses are short courses that Safer Together has recognised as skills that all workers in the Oil & Gas industry should have. The courses should be considered the baseline and should be refreshed every two years.
