Training the next drilling generation

Australian Well Control Centre has built a business reputation on being innovative, flexible, progressive and adaptable to change to deliver best practise Drilling and training solutions.

At the Australian Well Control Centre we pride ourselves on delivering creative workforce development and training solutions as a Registered Training Organisation.

Offering extensive market and industry knowledge for outstanding program delivery, we design and deliver flexible training and associated assessment in the Drilling Industry.

We have strong experience in delivering both large scale national and smaller scale local programs and other non-competency related training courses to address the specific challenges and legislative requirements of the drilling sector.

Our service offering

Australian Well Control Centre is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) dedicated to delivering nationally accredited, industry-based training and assessment programs throughout Australia.

We conduct and issue full national qualifications or individual competencies from the Resources and Infrastructure Industry Training Package. We also provide advice and support in relation to the recently endorsed introduction of new Qualifications within the Resources and Infrastructure Industry Training Package, specifically drilling.

As an RTO, we are able to deliver third party induction training. We also conduct non-accredited courses and issue Statements of Achievement and Certificates of Competency (CoC)

We help our clients identify training needs, and then build, retain and develop the skills of their workforce. Our suite of services is illustrated below.

Quality endorsed training

All of our drilling industry training and assessments are in line with the Resources and Infrastructure Industry Training Package, incorporating units of competency for all of the different drilling operations.

Training and assessment materials are moderated regularly to meet all Australian Qualifications Training Framework (AQTF) Standards or VET sector requirements: which means that qualifications gained are recognised throughout Australia.

All training is outcome-based and appropriate to the Drilling Industry, with a focus on achieving measurable changes in the workplace.

What benefits can we bring you as an RTO?

We develop learning strategies and tailor training solutions to meet your needs. We can deliver full qualifications, part qualifications, specific industry training, OHS Training, and Recognition of Prior Learning.

We deliver training using accredited trainers with relevant rail sector experience and in a face to face learning and assessment environment. Training can be delivered from either our premises or a client provided venue.

Where we add value

We are Drilling subject matter experts. We only engage qualified trainers and assessors who have extensive knowledge of the drilling industry and continually maintain their competencies and up-skill.

Our staff is also active members of the Industry Skills Council and of committees within drilling industry bodies. This ensures we incorporate the latest market trends and legislative requirements in out training solutions.

We offer a flexible approach to content, style and delivery of training.

We are flexible in our training approach and understand the differing styles, abilities and needs of students. We enable students to prove their abilities in a supportive learning environment, providing mentoring services to both learners and their supervisors.

We provide full national qualification or individual competencies within a training package to students with training and assessment delivered at Australian Well Control Training Centre or alternatively at a client venue.

We provide quality measured training

All our national training programs are measured against quality indicators. Students and employers alike have the opportunity to evaluate the course post-training to drive continuous improvement.

We Control and maintain all training and assessment management records.

We use a robust student management system aXcelerate, to enable students and trainers to access their training records on demand and have their national qualifications issued to them in real time. AXcelerate also flags any upcoming re-certification requirements.
