Who needs ISI?
The Industry Safety Induction is a 1 day training course. All New Starts shall satisfactorily complete the Industry Safety Induction prior to working on the development or operation of Onshore or Offshore Facilities in the Australian Energy Production Industry.
A new start is anyone who has not worked in the Australian Energy Production Industry for at least 12 months in the last 2 years.
The team that helped shape ISI Rev 7 delivers your training.
When Safer Together revised the Industry Safety Induction, it called on AWCC. Gary King, AWCC Centre Manager, BDM and Training Specialist, was selected to work with Andy Pearce and Safer Together on Revision 7. Gary has been involved with ISI since its introduction in 2016, and brings industry, operational, safety and adult learning experience to the course.
After more than two years of development, Safer Together wanted practical feedback on how the content would work for learners, and how to make it clear, relevant and effective to deliver.
- Aug to Dec 2024Reviewed the full course: wording, images, videos, speaker notes, the Safety Culture Framework introduction and workbooks.
- Jan 2025Ran the course trials and set up the ISI Train the Trainer program.
- Feb 2025Delivered Train the Trainer with Andy Pearce.
- Mar 2025Delivered the first Revision 7 course to industry leaders, following its release on 4 March.
From review and testing to trainer preparation and first delivery, AWCC was involved at every stage. The people running your ISI know the course from the inside.
Frontline Leadership
The Safer Together Frontline Leadership Training Program is a two day program, developed by Safer Together and delivered by AWCC on behalf of Safer Together.
It gives supervisors and frontline leaders practical skills to lead their teams safely and effectively. Induct your new starters with ISI, then develop the people who lead them.
