AWCC have designed this unit to cover the skills and knowledge required to load and unload goods and cargo in accordance with relevant state/territory roads and traffic authority regulations/permit requirements.
The course includes loading and unloading goods and cargo, securing and protecting a load and completing all the required documentation.
AWCC offer both the Load & unload Goods/Cargo (TLID2004) and Secure Cargo (TLIA1001) programs together as the program content dovetails nicely with the student objectives regarding learning outcomes. These courses are individual units of Competency which can form part of certain Qualifications within the Procurement, Logistics and Transport industries. The student will be taught the regulatory requirements along with the key skills necessary to secure loads to be transported safely.
TLIA1001 is aimed at teaching the student the following: to prepare and secure cargo/containers, lashing and un-lashing cargo, protecting cargo from weather, and packing and unpacking cargo.
TLID2004 focuses on the Loading and unloading of goods and cargo, securing and protecting a load and completing all the required paperwork, manifests and tracking documentation.
Class Room Face to Face Theory combined with a variety of practical applications and competency based assessments.
