Did you know that the White Card Program MUST NOW be facilitated in a classroom environment using face to face interaction and active student participation when taken in the state of Queensland.
The successful participants will be required to demonstrate a clear understanding of personal awareness, Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) legislative requirements, understand the basic principles of Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment along with the prevention of injury and illness predominately within the Construction Industry however is also recognised in such industries as, Civil Construction, Mining, Rail and Energy where construction activities take place.
Upon successful completion of the program students will be issued a Nationally Accredited Unit of Competency for CPCCWHS1001: Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry.
Certificates are emailed to students however a hard copy is available upon request for an additional fee.
In addition to receiving the Statement of Attainment, a wallet sized White Card will be issued on the day or posted to an address provided by the student participant. The White Card will be issued by the Australian Well Control Centre on behalf of Workcover Queensland.
This White Card Program has been licenced to AWCC by Workcover Queensland who stipulate the following requirements:
Students who fail to provide a valid photo ID on the day unfortunately will not be accepted into the AWCC White Card Program. If you still require the White Card Licence a re-booking fee of $45.00 AUD will be charged.
The AWCC White Card Program has three (3) components:
Throughout the program students are offered multiple opportunities to demonstrate knowledge and skills learnt.
In the unlikely event a student falls short of of competency in either the theory, practical or both will be required to re-book into the program again at the full course cost.
The Australian Well Control Centre are not registered with CRICOS and are not authorised to conduct training and assessment for those with study restrictions on their visa. This includes but is not limited to the International Student Visa (Subclass 500), prior to booking with AWCC we recommend that you check the entitlements of your visa.
