ABOUT THE IADC WELLSHARP PROGRAM
AWCC in Association with the IADC are proud to offer the IADC WellSharp Well Control Program. The IADC call this program a “Revolutionary Well Control Training and Assessment Program”. The Program is the result of a collaborative industry effort, the WellSharp program emphasises rigorous training for every person with well control responsibilities, be them Rig Based or Office Based Geological and Engineering Professionals.
The IADC’s findings so far indicate that trainees are gaining a greater depth of knowledge, able to focus more on specific job functions and enjoy greater confidence that they have the skills to identify and react to Well Control Situations in an effective way.

IADC Industry Developed
The WellSharp program, which evolved from WellCAP, was created at the request of industry. WellSharp represents an industry led effort to redefine Well Control Training and Assessment. A collaboration of IADC members, Drilling Contractors , Well Servicing Companies and Well Control Training Specialists developed the WellSharp Program in association with a designated IADC Led Advisory Panel, the IADC Well Control Committee, and other Leading Industry Groups. These unique content specific working groups set quality benchmarks and criteria to assist Accredited Training Providers in the delivery of a Core Curriculum to an enhanced standard of Content Delivery and Assessment Practices.
