AWCC offers a one-day Inspect and Clean Machinery (Weed and Seed) Program which highlights the importance of why it is necessary to be conscious of Plant, Animal, and Soils Materials that may be inadvertently transferred from one property to the next. Having seen this first hand through our own farming experiences, AWCC understands the impact that foreign materials such as weeds or contaminated soils can have on Graziers, Primary Produces, and domestic communities alike.
AWCC recognises that the Energy, Transport, and Construction Industries must co-exist and be respectful of the Communities they inhabit. The best way to do this is through education which creates understanding and respect for each other and the daily activities we all perform just to get by.
The AWCC Weed and Seed Program teaches the participants to have respect for the land and land owners along with the skills to inspect and clean machinery ensuring that it is free of material that may contribute to the spread of weeds, pests or diseases.
This Nationally Accredited Unit is highly useful to any person moving machinery or vehicles from one field, paddock or location to the next. Those of you that enter multiple properties are particularly susceptible to being the carrier of unwanted contaminants or pathogens that could potentially be relocated and infect multiple locations.
Upon successful completion of this Weed and Seed Program students will receive a Statement of Attainment for the following National Accredited Unit:
AHCBIO203 Inspect and Clean Machinery for Plant, Animal and Soil Material, this unit contributes to making up the required learning in some Certificate II and III Training Packages. If this interests you, ask AWCC how!
The mode of delivery for the AWCC Weed and Seed Program is face-to-face in a classroom environment as well as multiple practical exercises throughout the day.
The theory element is facilitated in an environment that supports adult learning and is focused on real-life field examples presented by professionals that have worked in Industry.
The assessment for this Program aligns with the Australian Qualification Framework, Relevant Training Packages, Australian and Industry Expectations, along with both Commonwealth and State Legislation.
